This technical cotton remains washable and will not transfer oil.

The 45P

The CWU-45/P flight jacket was originally designed in the 1970s to protect pilots in harsh, cold conditions. Olmsted re-edits this classic silhouette in the rarest, kindest — yet unapologetically geeky — way.

Cut from weatherproofed Italian organic cotton canvas, it replaces traditional flight nylon with a matte, natural shell that is both protective and refined. A hidden spring-snap front closure creates a clean, minimal look while maintaining the jacket’s utilitarian roots.

Built to last and sourced for positive impact, it is finished with a chrome-free wild deer naked leather collar and heavy cotton knit ribbing from England at the cuffs and waistband. Insulated with Canadian eiderdown and made in Montréal, this reinterpretation transforms military flight gear into a modern heirloom — precise, protective, and enduring.
